The 4th Gastroenterology Educational Program
Eastern Region — Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Two focused days across Hepatology, Advanced Endoscopy, Motility, and IBD.
Overview
The 4th Gastroenterology Educational Program brings the SGA's Eastern Region educational series to Dammam for two intensive days at the Main Auditorium of King Fahad Specialist Hospital. Day One (Friday, 30 October) is built around Hepatology — viral hepatitis, metabolic and pregnancy-related liver disease, immune-mediated liver disease and acute liver failure, and acute-on-chronic liver failure through cirrhosis and transplantation — followed by an afternoon on Advanced Endoscopy (advanced luminal endoscopy, advanced biliary disorders, and an introduction to third space endoscopy) and closes with a session on motility disorders. Day Two (Saturday, 31 October) shifts to Inflammatory Bowel Disease and General GI: Crohn's disease management, ulcerative colitis with dysplasia and perioperative care, IBD beyond the gut (extraintestinal manifestations and pregnancy), esophageal and gastric disorders, small and large bowel disorders, and oncology and endocrine-related GI disorders. The programme is aimed at GI fellows, GI specialists, and medical residents, with registration open now via saudigastro.com.
