It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2nd IBD International conference of the Saudi Gastroenterology Association.
The Conference will be held on 29 - 30 of September 2010 in Madareem Crown Hotel – Riyadh.
SGA is dedicated to organize the IBD Conference every two years around the Kingdom. This will give us the opportunity to review and highlight the latest evidence in diagnosis and management of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases in KSA and Gulf States.
During this Conference, we will have number of distinguished international guest speakers:
1. Prof. Karel Geboes
a member of different international societies of pathology (ESP) and gastroenterology including the American (AGA), British (BSG), French and Dutch national societies, of IOIBD (the international organization for the study of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases) and of national societies including the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium.
2. Prof. Axel Dignass
Head, Department of Medicine I, Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology,
Markus Hospital . Goethe-University - Germany
Experience with clinical trials
Participation and lead investigator since July 1990 in more than 80 clinical trials of pharmaceutical or medical products according to German pharmaceutical regulations with focus on IBD, acute and chronic pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, gastrointestinal ulcers, small bowel transplantation, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, hepatorenal syndrome and others.
Within the last years lead and principle investigator in 5 multinational IBD trials and more than 15 trials as principle investigator in IBD, all of them according to ICH/GCP guidelines including more than 10 investigator meetings with ICH/ GCP training and participation in a special training course at Charité Medical Center Berlin
3. Dr. Walter Reinisch
Currently serves as General Secretary of the European Crohn’s Colitis Organization (ECCO) and is currently active in the Public Affairs Committee of the United European Gastroenterology Federation (UEGF). He is author and co-author of several publications in the field of IBD. His work focuses on clinical studies in IBD.
